FISH OBITUARIES (RESURRECTED)

SINDWINDER BLOG POST #14.1: INLAND and NORTH

Along the Umpqua River

Highway 101 to 38 from Reedport to 99, which we were on but never found a sign for, to 5 to Portland, 405 then Lincoln, downtown. To review:

Sticky buns in Coos Bay, quiche and nutella brownie. Log trucks.

The tide was out. Seagull, raptors waiting for those stranded in a tide pools.

Log ships, almost full, would have to wait for high tide.

The railroad bridge turns sideways, makes room for exiting ships.

Who thought of all this?

Log trucks.

Dunes. Dunes. Dunes.<

These were prosperous towns, you can see it.

Trees and trees then naked slopes.

Log trucks.

Up and up over the Coast Range.

The river is clear as any Newfound Lake.

Hello New Hampshire across the world.

Hello Alaska just north. Here I come.
